Getting my morning caffeine in before ballet. Wow! Mornings have come earlier than expected this week. I have been up and at them and am not getting my normal sleep. Can I take a nap please? ha!
I am the type of person that once I wake up that is it and I am awake. This is a blessing and a curse. Sometimes I wish I got that extra shut eye to help me through the day.
Now that school is back in full swing I am still building my routine. To be the best version of myself workout is key. Mornings are the ideal time to hit the gym for cardio and light weights. Get those endorphins flowing and release any tension I am storing. It is amazing how your body reacts and knows when things are different from the norm. Mine is saying, “Girl you better get that treadmill fixed and pick up those weights!”

I have a couple rules for starting my day off. In college I would dress one of two ways. Workout gear or Casual Chic. If I sported work out gear I had to wear make-up. If I was dressed nicely, make-up was optional. This holds true for me today. There is something about dressing the part and putting effort into yourself that builds confidence and sets the mood. Well, today I dressed up for a day of errands and activities. No make-up for this mama today. Thank goodness for large sunglasses! haha!
I love my denim jacket and am so glad they are making their way back in style. I layered with a fun graphic tee and some black jeans and cute booties. Simple, chic, and sassy! That is a win in my book!
