If you have not figured it out yet, I am a regular at Target and Nordstrom. The quality of clothes and goods at both is top notch and you are at an affordable price point. This is great for me as I have 6 people to dress. Let me tell you why I like both.
Target has done an exceptional job with their rebranding and addition of new lines. Their stores are more bright and airy and they have setup targeted areas to showcase on trend items. What a great way to help draw attention and highlight clothes. I can tell you that it works. Not just for me, but others too. I see people all the time walking up to mannequins or trend spots to check out the goods.
In the past, Target was an occasional spot to buy clothing for myself. I mostly purchased my swimwear and kids clothing and goodies here. Now, I am a partner with Target because I love the inventory they are producing. Want evidence? Check out the two looks below. One features a beautiful pearl embellished sweater. It is a fitted top with feminine frills to be dressed up or down. It comes in two colors too. The other top is a gorgeous red floral lace top that is cropped. There all bell sleeves and it has a peek-a-boo neckline and comes in two colors too!
Nordstrom is a larger store and that means more inventory! What I really like are the affordable designer labels that are present. If you shop at NorthPark in Dallas you can go to the second floor and find a ton of goodies in BP, Topshop, Leith, Free People, etc. These items are beautiful and run from $12-$300. I shop the other floors, but the second floor has the most bang for your buck! I had been eyeing an oversized faux fur jacket by Free People and finally took the leap and bought it. It is magnificent. It is so cozy, soft, and good looking. It comes in three colors, an off white, wine, and brown. I sized down to have a more tailored look to flatter my curves. Check it out:
