My oldest daughter enters five day preschool today. Wow! Time has flown by. I can’t wait to see the growth in her educationally, spiritually, and physically this next year.
Her preschool is the sweetest school. Her brothers attended here and her sister will be joining her this year too. They offer such a great curriculum and the teachers have been fantastic. Their perspective is that play is the answer to anything new that comes about. This is a basis for Jean Piaget’s Learning Theory. Yea, my Master’s courses are paying off! hahaha!
Anyway, today is a big day and we are so excited for her. I gave her two options of clothes to wear for her big day. She vetoed the first option, a pretty peasant patterned dress from Old Navy for her first day. Instead she chose a sweet smocked pink dress to make her debut. The dress is a product of Orient Express.
She had to have her bow too. Embroidered with her first name initial and she is ready to go! We bought this bow from Stride Rite. They don’t offer it online so I linked a similar one on Etsy.
I love little girl clothes. What is your favorite smocked brand?
Mommy wanted to match her mini today too! =) I found a great ribbed crop sweater from 14th&Union. It is very comfortable and adds a slight edginess to the femininity of the shirt with the texture. They aren’t displaying the top online so I linked a similar one with lace detail. I finished off the look with some skinny jeans and Franco Sarto slides. Aren’t these shoes awesome? I love the embellished ruffle on the top.
My FreePeople reversible tote is a favorite. It is suede and very durable. This is a must for mommy hauling around all my kid gear.
I have one more baby to kick off back to school and then we are complete. Hope everybody has had a smooth transition from summer to school!
