The Gift that Keeps on McGiving

December 2, 2019

I can’t say enough good things about McDonald’s Corporation and their community outreach. I love this partnership for many reasons; however, their generosity, big hearts, and community involvement are some of the top draws. McLovin our Community, to say it simply is what McDonald’s of North Texas does on the daily!

Since 2016, McDonald’s of North Texas has gifted more than $1.2M to local Ronald McDonald House Charities efforts. These funds help support and provide the resources families require while their child receives treatment at local hospitals or health facilities. They excel at Keeping Families Close! You can donate to your local Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) here.

RMHC was founded in 1974 and now boosts more than 360 homes worldwide. They are a nonprofit that McDonald’s Corporations continues to support in the community.

Another way they give back to RMHC of Greater North Texas is through several initiatives by the local franchises in the North Texas region. You can giveback by doing all or one of these simple things:

  • Giving Tuesday is December 3, 2019 – CONSIDER DONATING
  • Pennies Per Pounds – for every pound of french fries purchased McDonald’s of North Texas will donate two cents to the local RMHC. – YUMMY
  • Pennies Per Happy Meal – for every happy meal purchased McDonald’s of North Texas will donate one cent to the local RMHC. – DINE OUT AND SUPPORT
  • Amazon Smile – consider making RMHC of Greater North Texas your nonprofit of choice. Your Amazon purchases will generate a donation. – SIGN ME UP

In November you may have noticed my involvement with McDonald’s of North Texas and their Veteran’s Day programs. This is near and dear to me as my husband is a combat veteran and I have several family members that served and continue to serve.

The Dallas VA received a surprise visit from local influencers delivering meals and brightening staff and veteran’s days. Talk about a generous and much appreciated gift. McDonald’s of North Texas also gifted meals on Veteran’s Day to military personnel with a valid ID. These little gifts add up to a lot and are a representation of one of the many ways that McDonald’s gives back to the community.

I am always humbled and thankful for the responses I receive when I share my love for McDonald’s Corporation and my local franchises initiatives. I love how you continue to support Texas Madre. I would love for you to consider supporting one of my favorite charities too, RMHC. Tis the season to give! Have a wonderful day and thank you for a great 2019!
