My Weekend Sale Pics

My Weekend Sale Pics

Wow! What a whirlwind of a weekend. So much to do in so little time. My weekend in review!

Friday – Home Tour, after-party, late lunch, play date, dinner, kids to bed, moms night out until 3am!

Needless to say, I was whipped and had to start all over again for Saturday!

Saturday – Shop for last minute birthday party items, finish the cake for the party, set-up the party, head home and settle the kids, spa event and facial, home, put kids to bed, binge watch Christmas movies on Netflix!

OMG! You don’t know how much of a treat it was to watch TV. I never watch it anymore because we are so busy with school, activities, and work. When it is on it is normally Disney Jr or a football game. Haha! I was just telling a girfriend the other day how my DVR just keeps recycling my shows. So sad….Oh well!

Today – wake-up, clean and mop downstairs before the kids woke up, make breakfast, quick photo shoot, head to the Rustic for a show, home, tidy up, head to HP Village for a carriage ride through the neighborhood, dinner, home, bathe the kids, shower, and relax in bed.

Thank goodness everyone conked out in record time. A reprieve =) Crazy weekend, but a ton of fun.

Did you have a busy weekend? What was the highlight of your weekend?

My looks this weekend consisted of a lot of jackets and sweaters. Two jackets were on major sale and so were some of the shoes! All great looks to carry you through the season. You can dress them up or down, which is a major bonus as holiday parties are HERE!

Calling all bargain shoppers!

There are two great sales on jackets I picked up earlier in the season. A longline bomber and velour duster. These deals are too good to be true so hurry and buy now before they sell out.

Both were picked up at Nordstrom and are a fun wear. The color is soft and feminine and can be dressed up or down. They have a sporty and edgy look that offer a trendy appeal.

Hope you can grab one before they are gone. I will leave this short and sweet so you can hop to it.

Have a great evening!

Old Navy for the Win

What do you do when you are waiting for a family member to catch up with you on a road trip? Pullover at the outlet malls and shop!

Last week we headed out to the country to check on the land and our chickens. Lucky for me I got to spend time shopping for the kids and walked out with loot for myself. Yea!

Old Navy has a ton of great inventory in right now. I will share the kids finds later this week. For mama, I scored big! I walked away with a beautiful soft pink jacket. It is so warm and cozy. I layered over navy and really like the blend of colors and textures. Each piece of clothing is around $60 or less. What a great deal!

My shoes and accessories are great too. The loafer comes in a few colors and I was able to find a nice black one in my size. These are surprising comfortable and have some cushion in them. After wearing them for most of the day I can promise you that they are a nice flat.

Their jewelry and winter accessory selection is amazing too. The beautiful white of the hat and scarf is reminds me of fresh snow. And how cute is the Pom Pom on the top. The necklace and earrings are delicate and sweet.

The overall outfit earns 5 stars! I can piece things together or remove items and still have a great look with the eight pieces of clothing I found at Old Navy. Yea for me!

My bag is actually Rebecca Minkoff. This crossbody has been on sale recently and is something to check out. The quilted pattern is edgy and relates back to the classic Chanel and Gucci products we have come to love and own.

Happy Shopping!

Check Mate

Check Mate

This season I have been winning with Topshop. I love so many of their clothes and accessories. This jacket is one of my favorite finds. It has a side split and a single button in the front. The overall look is polished and fitted to accentuate the curves of the body.

This a great layer to work with in your wardrobe. The jacket is great for the business woman that wants to be bold in neutral and check print. For the casual and groovy gal the jacket is perfect to layer with jeans and a solid top. For a sophisticated and sassy look start with black and add a pop with the check print. There are endless options and because of the colors you can work in many accessories like this roll over clutch. An amazing piece of art that can be worn as a crossbody too.

I am not much of a chess player, but I do know a great move when I see it. Check mate and the jacket wins!

Night time darkness. Sorry having a Phantom moment! Plus, it is night time here in Dallas. Do any of you have a favorite musical? It is hard to pick just one. Off the top of my head, I would say that Wicked ranks at the top. The story and little details have you rethinking the Wizard of Oz the whole shoe. I love musicals. They are so creative and the performances are amazing. It takes a special person to memorize and perform in front of such a large audience.

In Dallas I mostly attend shows at Fair Park Music Hall or at the Winspear Opera House. I have been spoiled and attend many different productions. I believe my first show to ever attend was Little Shop of Horror. I actually think we were in London for that production. A wonderful experience that hooked me on musical theatre.

Have you truly seen the details that go into the costume and set design for one of these productions? I have been fortunate to take in many shows from the front row. Up close it is truly remarkable to see the workmanship on all of these designs. If you ever get a chance to move up to the front or visit the orchestra at intermission – do it! The set and costumes are incredible.

Speaking of details. Did you catch the beautiful floral embroidered work on my velour jacket? This jacket is lightweight, comfortable, and a great imitation of some of the top designers. It is made by Onque and is under $20. That my friends is a great detail to keep in mind. This piece transforms a casual style into a luxurious look in a flash. I bought it at Stein Mart. I linked the look above. Look up at “Outfit Details”.

I am in a simple casual look with jeans, a cami, gorgeous slides, and fun accessories. The jacket added the wow factor with the intricate and vibrant design.

Remember, it is all in the details. They transform everything!

Good night and thank you for stopping by.

I mentioned previously on the blog how much I loved this pencil skirt and how versatile it can be. This textured high waisted pencil skirt hugs the body just right highlighting your natural curves. Thank you!

Put a simple white top and layer with this beautiful long jacket to finish the basic structure of this outfit.  Add a nude heel that highlights the beautiful line from just below the skirt to the end of your foot. I chose a gold watch, gold earrings, sunglasses and a great versatile black backpack as my accessories.  Now, head to your meeting and a great lunch with the girls wearing this sassy yet classic look.

When you’re being pulled in many directions what more does a girl need! Enjoy, off to my busy day.
