I am feeling amazing after a great night sleep and an early morning rise! Daylight savings is a funny thing.
Today is a big day. I have several conferences and then will help out at the school this afternoon. Staying busy and interacting with my peers is a blessing. While I absolutely love being at home with my babies it is refreshing to get out and utilize my skills and mind in a different channel. I am so thankful for my parents who help me have these days. I can’t be 100 places at once and they certainly lighten the load.
I always like to dress for comfort when I am subbing. It makes for a more comfortable day. Today I pulled out a few faves of mine. You can always count on the classroom being cold so I pulled out my wine/pink plaid scarf. Don’t you just love those colors? They are vibrant and happy. This piece is great as it can serve as a wrap or scarf and can accommodate my look and the weather in and outside. Thank you!
I layered over a DR2 top and some Lysse leggings. If you have never worn these pants you should try them. They have a control top and hug the body and help slim. What girl doesn’t love that help? My leopard slides are everything. So chic and comfy. They material is a fur that is so soft. The pattern is bold in a delicate way. I know that sounds crazy, but the spots call attention to the shoe while not being too overbearing. They are small and fabulous.
Just wanted to say a quick hello and share my ootd! Hope you have a wonderful Monday! Talk to you soon!
My family loves to travel. I was so excited to take this last minute trip to Denver with my hubby. He has work and I have socializing and shopping! Yes! You can’t be that for a fun getaway.
I told you before that my husband went to the Air Force Academy and we have several friends that live in Colorado from his time in the military and all of our assignments. Colorado was home almost ten years ago. We sure do miss it and try to get back as often as possible. Tonight is not only about work, but friendships and we can’t wait to connect with our friends!
Because our trip was a short one I got to debut my new weekender. I love this barrel bag. It is made from the finest leather and is two toned. There is a double zipper, a shoulder strap (optional), and it comes in two color options, signature Windsor hunter green or navy blue with a tan accent. Guys and gals – you have to pick one of these up. They are spacious and offer appeal for a day bag or a weekend bag. The hubs and I are already fighting over whose bag it is – honestly, doesn’t he know that everything is mine. JK!
The company behind the bag is Blvd. East. They are a local Dallas company with a great story. All items are handmade in Dallas and LA. Their philioshpy is Find Your Journey. You know what? Your bags make it that much easier to take on life.
Here’s to finding your journey! Happy weekend!
BTW, exciting things are coming soon. Make sure to check back often!
I stopped by Target yesterday to pick up some baby items and did an about face when I came to the women’s clothing. Their buyers are doing great things for their brand! Amazing!
I love Dolce Vita and was surprised to see them in the store. I had to have their Buckle Wedge. It comes in two colors and I was tempted to buy one of each.
Another great line that is new to the store is A New Day. Ya’ll they have the best fall prints. I bought a great red tank and paired it with a beautiful animal print cardigan! So comfortable and easy to wear.
My jewelry is on repeat lately. My lariat necklace from Anthropologie is so delicate and a favorite. Great birthday present if I do say so. Some simple gold hoops to polish off the look.
Red is another fun color for me this season. A pop of color is always a good thing and my purse is loud and proud. This beautiful design from the St. John Collection is on clearance now too. Head over to Last Call before it is too late!
As I said yesterday, now that the school year has commenced it is time for me to get back to business. While I will miss my littles, it is such a great accomplishment to be at this point in my life.
I have a wonderful family, we have our health, and we have the resources to provide a sound education and safety for our children. In my book that is success!
In my independent life it is nice to wear another hat aside from mom. While that is the greatest job I have ever had, I am looking forward to pursuing opportunities that further enhance my life. Talking to you, providing inspiration, and empowering others is such a great feeling. I can’t wait to take this journey with you all.
I loved my look this morning. I felt like the ultimate girl boss. Feminine, elegant, in charge, and whole lot of sass!
I love my suede round toe wedges. I have had those in my closet for some time and they continue to be a favorite. They can transition between many pieces too. Below is a similar style to shop.
My blouse and pants were purchased from a boutique outside of Austin. The Boutique Kyle. Follow their Instagram page for ideas and products. The pants are Lysse and are fabulous. Control top – come on moms you know this is nice in a leather finish. Yes, yes, yes! The black and white top is soft and easy to wear. It goes with several pieces of clothing and is a great versatile piece.
The Louis speaks for itself. I love this neverfull bag and let me tell you it took a whole lot of persuading to finally buy it. Every time I went to the store I kept thinking that it was the equivalent of 35 cases of diapers. Four kids that were 3 and under at the time explains my thought process. LOL!
