I am a southern girl through and through. Born in raised in the south and grew up in a large metropolitan city. I have always been exposed to wide open spaces, livestock, and everything in between.
I love the city and I love the country. What is so great about where I live is being able to drive 30 minutes and encounter rural Texas.
A few years ago my husband and I purchased some land. This was the best decision we have made for our family. The kids can run until their heart is content and learn about all walks of life.
Weekends are our time for coming to the property. Today we accomplished so much. We checked on the chickens, collected eggs, fished, played on the paddle board, and rode our bikes. Not bad for half an afternoon.
When we are not playing hard we are relaxing. The peacefulness is the best medicine. We all get to relax and enjoy the beauty of open country and recharge before hitting the grind again.
