I love Valentine’s Day! Whether I was in a relationship or with my friends and family I have always made the most of the day!
I remember one Valentine’s in High School I was not seeing anyone and was obsessed with Brad Pitt (A River Runs Through It, Legends of the Fall). I mean come on who can resist the 90s Brad. =) I had a Brad Pitt-a-thon and binged watch all of his movies from the beginning. Let me tell you that was some feat trying to locate a VHS tape at the local Sound Warehouse or Blockbuster. hahaha!
Now days I treat my kids to some heartfelt gifts (notes, toys, school supplies). The options are endless. The night is saved for my hubs and we will typically go to dinner or have a mini-date at home after the kids are asleep. We sometimes celebrate one day of the week leading up to Valentines. The theme is always the same though….dress up and enjoy a night together. I can’t complain.
