Good morning! Hope you all had a wonderful night!

Today is a jam packed day for this mama! Not only do I have to get the kids ready for school, but I have to get myself ready to sub too! Fun times!

I am helping out in the special needs classroom for half a day. I love working with these students. They are all so wonderful and love their integration into the mainstream classrooms. Such an amazing feat.

While I am subbing the twins get to go on their very first field trip. I wish I could attend, but know they will be well looked after. So many milestones for them this year.

After school we actually have a pretty clear schedule. There are only fun things to be done. Our preschool organization has a wonderful Halloween Party. I hope to make it because one of our favorite photographers will be taking Fall photos in his mini sessions. Afterwards, Chris and I are attending a gala downtown.

See it never ends. We are always busy busy. We would never change a thing and I pray when we are older we will finally get that much needed rest. Hahaha!

When working I like to be as comfortable as possible. You are up on your feet a lot depending on the class and you are in and out of the school all day. Fortunately, the classroom where I am is more free in their dress policy. You can wear jeans anytime. Today I opted for a fun style that will work in school and out for errands. A half day of play and half day of work. That works for me.

In the schools it tends to be cooler. It is always wise to layer. Today I layered times two. I dressed up some boyfriend jeans with a cute animal print cardigan and a long solid cardigan. I gave the look even more edge with my red booties. Guys, these are so great. The exact ones are linked above in the “Outfit Details”. Word of caution – they are tall, but surprisingly easy to move around in and wear for long hours. That is a bonus. Worst case scenario, I will throw my converse or slides in my purse if my feet can’t make it. Tricks of the trade my friends 😉

Well, I am off. I can’t wait to show you my black tie look for the gala and tell you all about the organization and their vision.

Happy Thursday, the weekend is fast approaching!

xo,

Vanessa
