The 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

July 9, 2018

OMG! It’s that time! What time you ask? Time for the biggest and best sale on designer brands and the upcoming Fall styles at a discounted price. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale or #nsale is available for a limited time and is the perfect opportunity to build a magnificent wardrobe. I can’t wait to participate and will outline the dos and don’ts below.

When to shop:

The sale is most advantageous for Nordstrom cardholders. If you have a credit or debit card issued by Nordstrom you get access this Thursday, July 12. On July 20 the sale opens up to the public and will end on August 5.

How do I become a Nordstrom cardholder?

First, I do not get credit for encouraging folks to sign up for a card. Just fyi! The perks for this card are amazing and you will be earning notes quicker than you can spend. Oh, and they are offering a $40 bonus note if you sign up now! In case you are wondering I opted for a Nordstrom Visa card so I could use it any vendor. Signing up is easy – follow the directions as seen here. Also, assuming your are in good standings around the time of the #nsale you may see an increase in credit and and possibly earn even earlier access to the coveted sale based on your spending history.

How do I shop?

You can shop the sale three ways. One, shop at your local Nordstrom store. Two, purchase online and pick up at the store. Three, purchase online and ship to your location. Nordstrom has an excellent return policy if any of the items purchased online do not fit. Simply provide proof of purchase and head into the store. You can also ship your items back. In fact, if it is a size issue Nordstrom employees will assist you with finding the correct size and ordering with free shipping if it is not available in store.

Also, many folks do not want the hassle of long lines and crowds. If you are one of those folks call the store and see about scheduling an appointment. The employees love this option and will pull sizes for you and set a time to come in and try on. Many people enjoy working with stylists as they have a pulse on all the new season trends and know exactly where to find the clothes. You can contact your local Nordstrom and asked to be transferred to a department for help. Food for thought.

What to buy?

There are so many great pieces that have been set aside for the sale. The product catalog for the Nordstrom Sale is a lifesaver and will help you prep for the big day. I recommend browsing this catalog before heading to the store.

Remember, this sale is showcasing the newest fall trends so think Christmas in July! You will want to look at outerwear, sweaters, pants, designer denim, boots, bags, make-up, and more. Later this week I will showcase some products that are on my radar for you to shop. Until then keep these brands in mind while perusing the catalog.
