Who loves the Olympics? We sure do although this year I have not caught as many events as usual! The winter events that we always love are the figure skating and skiing! It is always amazing to see the skill and adventure these athletes exhibit.
I don’t know about you, but I am typically oohhing and awwing the whole performance! If a skater falls you feel for them and encourage them to get back up. If a skier is doing a 360 you are crossing your fingers that they stick their landing. So many emotions within a 30 second to 3 minute window.
Now that the kids are old enough to sit through a television show that is not on Disney Jr. we have enjoyed teaching them the history of the games. They are learning some fun facts. Such as, the first Winter Olympics was held in 1924 in France. The Winter Olympics are held every four years. Finally, in 2022 Bejing will host the Olympics.
Here are my best Olympic poses:

We only have a couple days left before the games are over. The USA still has some contenders in some of the events. So we are all cheering and enjoying the camaraderie, entertainment, and history while we can! Here is a link to the official schedule if you want to catch a few more events!
As for my athleisure gear…with it being the second month of the new year – resolutions are front and center. Take time to find comfortable and fashionable gear. I always have my staples of black and gray, but I am not afraid to add color. I believe the way you dress and the comfort and attitude you possess in that outfit translates into your actions. If you want to feel good and carry that internal motivation to be healthy and get after it…dress the part!
My gray outfit was actually a gift from the hubs. I love the capri style and long sleeved top for this season. One thing that is great with the new gear are pants having pockets. This design is amazing and makes the piece so much more versatile. My colorful pants are sadly sold out, but I did share some other favorites I purchased. One tip for those that work out hard and sweat. I love the polyester spandex blend as these give and don’t leave evidence of a hard workout! Thank you!
I am still adhering to being purposeful and healthy in 2018. I am working out daily and continuing to modify my lifestyle. More sleep, better food choices, and the list goes on. How are you doing with your goals?
Have a wonderful day!
xo,
Vanessa

February 19, 2018 at 9:54 pmDoing the same with health so many things get in the way of a workout. The flu issue has me wanting to stay away from groups of people. The games are unfortunately on the back burner but I did catch the downhill last night and earlier the Us dance team. Keep up the good work with fitness!
