It’s one of the craziest sales of the year…the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Today cardholders can preshop before the sale goes live at 12:30EST. So be prepared and have your login and credit card ready!
My initial thought on the sale after perusing the catalog, snooping on ICON day, and shopping briefly last night…animal print is HOT for Fall. Leopard and snake print were everywhere. There were jogger sets, camis, jeans, t-shirts, cardis, and sweaters that had darker and lighter leopard options. You also saw this in the shoes. Blocked heels/boots, flats, slip-ons, and sneakers. Snake was mostly on skirts and shoes. I personally added both to my collection of exotic prints 😉

You are also seeing a lot of fitted distressed jeans with an asymmetrical shape hem or frayed look and some ripped patches here and there. The DAD jean is in too! The DAD jeans are my fave along with the Veronica Beard look alikes. I did buy the leopard cropped jeans and am still deciding if I will keep them as I think my legs are too short. hahaha! They are so cute…

The shoes had some repeat designs from last year with different pattern and texture options. I rounded up some of the best at a more affordable price point for ranging from flats to heels! I bought only flats and boots. I am eyeing the rust cortez sneaker for my Longhorn spirit and will likely purchase that tomorrow. Hook ‘Em.

There are some pretty skirts in the sale. The pink sparkle caught my eye as well as the color block silk number. I would mention that some of the pencil style skirts are made with a curve in the hip/thigh area. If you are a straight figure it will not lay properly on you. Take a look at some of the bold and beautiful. A few of these will sell out by tomorrow and a lot of are out of size options in stores. I am ordering one or two tonight online for that reason.

As you can see, animal print is the star of the show and is selling like hot potatoes. If you see something you like you should purchase it as things go quickly. At times items are restocked, but I cannot guarantee that and would hate for you to miss out on something you may want. I am going to round up some of the beauty, accessories, and athleisure products tomorrow.
