Layering

I am looking forward to the days of layering with Fall around the corner. A great jacket, bulky sweater, knit vest, the sky is the limit.

Being in Texas, we are prone to HEAT for the majority of the year. Luckily, I found a semi-sheer kimono that is fabulous. It is perfect for accessorizing any outfit to accommodate the weather in my hometown.

Take a black camisole and black shorts and ta-da – you just dressed up a casual look with this printed kimono. Add in a pop of color with a fun purse and some bold jewelry and you are street ready!

My horn necklace was custom made by sister-in-law, an artisan in Dallas/Austin, Texas. Private message me if you are interested in her work. For my full outfit details, shop below. Some items are on sale NOW too. The link for the necklace is a similar more affordable piece.

My advice on layering, don’t be afraid to try new styles. The length and cut may surprise you. If you start with a solid color for your foundation you will slim up the look. Add texture! Texture will add depth to the look and can take a boring look to a fab one in a minute.
